Each State authority has its own specific requirements for proof of age for persons entering licenced premises. The table below shows the forms of ID that are acceptable in each jurisdiction.

A current driver's licence or learner's permit with photo and date of birth.

An Australian government issued proof of age card (18+ card).

A Victorian Keypass.

Passport from any country, providing you can find a refernece to the age of the patron by looking at it yourself.

A foreign driver's licence with photo and date of birth of the licence holder and accompanied by a translation if not written in the English language.

Tasmania

Australian driver's licence or learner's permit.

18 year plus proof of age card.

Keypass card

Passport from any country, providing you can find a reference to the age of the patron by looking at it yourself.

Firearms licence.

New South Wales

A motor vehicle or rider's licence or permit

A NSW Photo Card issued by the Road and Traffic Authority.

A proof of age card issued by a public authority of the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory.

An Australian or foreign passport.

South Australia

Australian driver's licence or learner's permit.

A government issued proof of age card.

A current Australia or foreign passport.

A Keypass Card.

Western Australia

Australian driver's licence with a photograph.

A Western Australia Proof of Age card.

Current passport with photograph.

Australian Capital Territory

A photographic Australian driver's licence.

A valid proof of age card.

Passport from any country, providing you can find a reernce to the age of the patron by looking at it yourself.
