RSA Training - State / Territory Requirements
ACTThe nationally recognised Statement of Attainment is NOT accepted in the ACT. Legislation is about to change and allow online training, but at this stage courses offered by Australian Online College for RSA are not accepted. You must attend a face-to-face course. NSWThe nationally recognised Statement of Attainment is NOT accepted in NSW... go figure! A certificate issued by the Casino Liquor and Gaming Control Authority is the only certificate issued in NSW. NTThe nationally recognised Statement of Attainment is accepted in the NT. NT Department of Justice website - http://www.nt.gov.au/justice/
QLDThe Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate course delivered by the Australian Online College leads to the issue of both the Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment AND the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate. A special Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) approved certificate is the only certificate accepted in QLD. Short bridging courses are available for people who have completed a nationally recognised RSA course that lead to the issue of an OLGR recognised RSA certificate. SAThe nationally recognised Statement of Attainment is accepted in SA. Before working in SA you will need your RSA certificate and apply to the Liquor Licensing Commission to become a Responsible Person at each venue that you are working in. Once you are approved you will be issued with a photographic identification card for each venue. VICOnline RSA training is accepted for some but not all people in VIC. Online RSA training is NOT accepted in Victoria for the following classes of people:
